"Hi, my name is Daisy. I have been coming to The Big Backyard for over a year and love it!
My Mom and
Dad were not sure what to do with me when my older brother, Murphy, a Great Dane, went to Doggy Heaven. I
was very lonely and had a lot of energy. Now I come to school twice a week and play with my friends and
learn good social behaviors. I love The Big Backyard and the Principal, Sean, is my buddy too!

Bailey - Black Lab - 4 years old
"I was adopted from the Dumb Friends League so my parents didn't have any history on me.
They soon found out when I ate the sofa that they needed another alternative to leaving me home
alone while they worked. That was when they found my little slice of heaven, The Big Backyard! I
love the car ride to "school" and am practically jumping out of the car when my parents
pull up. Both the owners and staff are just wonderful and they go the extra mile in taking care
of me. My parents look forward dropping me off to be with both my two and four legged
friends because they know how much I love it here. By the way, our "new" sofa is over
two years old and still in great shape...

"My name is "George" and I'm a special and fortunate little dog 'cause I have the
"bestest" home-away-from-home... it's called The Big Backyard. The days I go to doggie
daycare, I literally jump out of the car, run to the building and when inside, dash straight
back to the room filled with all my doggy friends - I can't wait to play with them! The owners
and two-legged staff people are awesome, too! And... if you'd like to know what happens at the end
of the day, just stop by sometime - you'll recognize me, I'm the dog who sits down and doesn't
want to go home. Good thing I'm so small 'cause my owner has to carry me to the car!

Jackson - Lab - 3 1/2 years old
"Hi! My name is Jackson Carmody. I am a 3 1/2 year old lab who has been
coming to The Big Backyard for about 3 years now. I have so many friends here at "school".
I play hard in the morning, nap for awhile, and then I'm free to play for the rest of the day.
When my mom and dad pick me up, I am so tired that I have to go home and go to bed! My parents
think that this is great. The Big Backyard is a great place for me & my parents.
We love it!"

Keegan - Border Collie - 1 1/2 years old
"My mom knew when she got a border collie, that my energy level would be
through the roof! Before I ever arrived in Denver, she had already checked out The Big Backyard
for doggy daycare to help me burn off steam. Instead of leaving to go to work every day, my
mom is a stay-at-home web designer. But I don't think when she is at home that she should be
working. I think she should just play with me!.
Us border collies have what some people might call OBCD (obsessive border collie disorder). If my
mom is working and I get bored, sometimes I decide to help around the house or the yard, doing
things like yanking up all of the loose landscape fabric and putting it into a pile. So when my
mom is busy with all day meetings, or on a deadline, or has a crazy schedule that may keep her
working a little late, I get to go to The Big Backyard for the day, where my creative energy can
be expended in a constructive manor. When I come home, I'm usually pretty tired so I don't
mind if mom is busy, I just take a much-needed nap! Thanks Big Backyard!"

Mocha - Chocolate Lab - 2 years old
"I've been coming to The Big Backyard twice a week since I was 4 months old, and it's my
FAVORITE activity! Everyone always tells my mommy and daddy how well 'socialized' I am... I don't
know what that means, but I do know that I love to play nice with other doggies and people.All my
friends here take really good care of me, and The Big Backyard is my trusted home away from home!

"I knew my parents loved me, but I couldn't understand why they had to go away for so long
every day. I would stare out the window and spend the rest of the of the day napping. I wanted so
much to be with them so when they found The Big Backyard, I got the next best thing! There are
friendly people here who play and cuddle with me all day long. What more could a dog ask for?

Yoda - Husky - 5 years old
Yoda has been attending The Big Backyard for over 3 1/2 years and he
absolutely loves it! He is aware of the days he's scheduled to go and it's such a joy for
us to hear his happy husky "wooing" when we make the final turn in the car on our
way to The Big Backyard! There's not a more caring staff around!

"When the doctor told my folks that I had separation anxiety, I thought for sure that would
be the last straw. All that barking and destructive behavior when they were away was driving
them crazy! The doctor suggested they bring me to The Big Backyard for daycare & training.

"Being a puppy, I have a hard time controlling my energy level. I always want to play and
that one hour walk at the end of the day just wasn't cuttin' it. Thank goodness my folks found
The Big Backyard! Now I can run around and wrestle with my pals to my heart's content!

Jack - Golden Retriever
"Jack has been going to The Big Backyard for over 4 years and has developed many
special friendships. On daycare mornings, he rushes out to the car with the
joy only a dog can show at 6:45 am! The caring staff and focus on safety
really set the Big Backyard apart from the other dog daycares. It gives me
peace of mind to know he gets to "be a dog" in such a safe and loving environment."

Finnegan - Retriever Mix
"Hi, I'm Finnegan, a Dumb Friends League alum. I have a LOT of energy, and sometimes when I
am home alone, I find things to play with like sofa cushions, table legs, remotes, etc.
They are so FUN to chew! I didn't quite get it when my parents came home and would be so
upset...they must have had another tough day at work. Anyway, about 6 months ago, my mom &
dad started bringing me to the BBY a few times a week. Since coming here, for some strange
reason, my parents don't walk in the door form work & cringe or look frustrated! I now love
playing with my toys & not those stupid sofa cushions. I bark less at the neighborhood dogs
& I have made a LOT of new friends, human & canine! The humans are so nice, they all
know my name & let me play with little pups, new dogs & my other friends."

Charlie - Irish Terrier
"My name is Charlie and I have been coming to The Big Backyard since I was just
a little girl. I've also stayed in the kennel suites when my pet parents couldn't take me with them on
long trips. I LOVE THIS PLACE! and I have my very favorite humans here (actually all of them) - they
take such good care of me. I got a pacemaker last spring and while they watch over me, they really
make sure that I always have a great day and get to be a DOG in a very safe environment. I really think
this is my most favorite place, next to home of course, and I am just going to keep on coming cause my
pet parents REALLY LOVE IT, too!!!!"
